Klavierarrangements vom Feinsten

I was persuaded to buy this based on reviewsreviews of this book that were inserted into reviews of OTHER Christmas Jazz books. Intriguing. This book is way more expensive than others i would consider comparable in # of offerings and style, which was something of a determent, especially since it has no difficulty rating, and no song listing. Because i am not a terribly accomplished pianist, and was afraid it would be too difficult for me. That said, I would rate this in the high intermediate
When I first heard the cd I thought it was ok
When I first heard the cd I thought it was ok. Then I started to play along and before I knew it I was properly jazzing up Christmas! A wide range of pieces across jazz styles and abilities. There really is something for everyone here. So much fun to play. Big, big smile on my face. Huge thanks to Nikki for another fantastic set of arrangements. Jazz just became very accessible. Again!

As a classically trained pianist, i wouldn't know how to put together a jazz piano solo if my life depended on it
As a classically trained pianist, i wouldn't know how to put together a jazz piano solo if my life depended on it. I was asked to play for a carol concert in our local church and wanted something Christmassy and not too obvious. This book caught my eye and I'm so glad I got it. The arrangements are just beautiful, I can't stop playing them, the harmonies are so clever. around grade 5 i would say. Can't wait to play for the service and am hoping I dare put the jazzy version of Santa Claus is comi
Nothing to dislike, great music but technically quite difficult
Nothing to dislike, great music but technically quite difficult. CD is helpful.
in this book, and the accompanying CD
in this book, and the accompanying CD. But there are a lot of challenging pieces - only a couple within my capability, though I admit I'm a poor sight reader.
Pleasant pieces to play and listen to, this lady is a genius and has just got it right
Pleasant pieces to play and listen to, this lady is a genius and has just got it right. You can achieve that chilled out Christmas jazz effect with the tunes Nikki has put together so expertly.
Great pieces of music, really enjoyed them
Great pieces of music, really enjoyed them. The CD helped a lot with learning them as I'm an intermediate player who hasn't played in a long time. Would really recommend this. I've bought just two of this series of 4 books, but am keen to order the other two. I'm practising these ones for Christmas, hopefully will learn a couple before then. Nice to have a different take on the traditional christmas music / carol arrangements.
These are such great arrangements
These are such great arrangements. The rhythms are tricky for my daughter who just started Book 4 of Suzuki Violin. This book will be useful for many years to come. I'm glad I have the piano accompaniments and CD as well. It's always nice to hear how it is meant to sound from the beginning.
